Requirement for all Consular Services at the High Commission

All Nigerian citizens requiring consular services are to take note of the following requirements:

LETTER OF NON-IMPEDIMENT (MARITAL STATUS):

  • Sworn Affidavit of Bachelorhood/Spinsterhood from High Court in Nigeria that proves that the person has never been married before. No Affidavit from the Local Government.

  • Sworn Affidavit for Change of Name from a Nigerian Court, as well as the piece of Newspaper communication from Nigeria reflecting the reason for the changing name;
  • International Passport

REQUIRMENTS FOR LETTER OF DECLARATION OF AGE:

  • Sworn Affidavit for Declaration of Age from a Nigerian Court, not a Local Government;
  • International Passport.

  • Presentation of valid Nigerian driver's licence, NOT INTERNATIONAL DRIVER'S LICENCE.

NB: All Applicants should submit their application in person at the High Commission. Applicants should note that the High Commission does not accept any application through agents. In line with this, applicants who give their applications to agents do so at their own risk.
